As typical in Florida, it started pouring rain fifteen minutes before Hannah and Drake arrived at El Prado Park in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, one of the most charming beach spots for a marriage proposal in South Florida. A stunning picnic was beautifully styled by Blue Island Picnics, complete with cozy blankets, florals, and a champagne setup. As we waited and hoped for better weather, the skies began to clear, just in time for their big moment.
When Drake and Hannah arrived, he handed her the champagne bottle to open, and while she was focused, he got down on one knee with the ring in hand and asked the most important question. Hannah immediately said yes! As if the universe was celebrating with them, the rain stopped, and soft sunlight began to glow over the ocean.
They toasted to their new chapter, shared the news with loved ones over FaceTime, and enjoyed their romantic picnic surrounded by the sound of waves and the golden post-rain light. I felt so lucky to capture this unforgettable proposal photography session, a true reflection of love and spontaneity.
